“Laboratory for Conservation of Heritage Architecture, LFCHR ” is part of “Laboratory for historical architecture diagnosis and ecological reconstruction technology”, which is part of “Key Laboratory of Ecology and Energy-saving of High Dense Human Settlements, Ministry of Education”. LFCHR is concentrating on research and development, education, training and international academic exchange in the field of historic building materials, diagnosis of defects and conservation technology.
It founded in 2008 and was the first laboratory in Chinese Architectural Universities.
Functions:
1. Research and Development: inspection on historic materials, defects, damaging factors, traditional; materials and construction technology. Conservation and restoration technology, sustainability
2. samples: relevant historical architectural materials
3. education: lab and workshop for students and postgraduates
4. seminars for professionals
5. international academic exchange
